Wyoming 4-H

Postal Trap Match

2008

The postal trap shoot will run 5 weeks – May 5th to June 2nd. One score per week will be tallied. Participants will have all week to shoot and their score will be verified by a certified shooting sports leader. County scores will be given to the local county office or e-mailed directly to the state office where they will be posted on the web.

The first scores are due to the state 4-H office May 12th and then every Monday for the next 4 weeks (May 19, May 26, June 2, and June 9).

Five scores are available and the highest 3 will count toward the participant’s total.

We will follow the same guidelines as the State shotgun competition but only use the scores from the singles round.  The shotgun competition rules and regulations are attached below.

The age categories will be junior, intermediate, and senior.

  1. Juniors will shoot 25 clays from 16 yards.
  2. Intermediates and seniors will shoot 50 clays from 16 yards.

Scores can be sent to the state 4-H office via e-mail: crawford@uwyo.edu

The top 10 shooters in each age category will receive shooting pins to recognize them for their accomplishment. The pins will be sent to the County Extension Office after the final scores have been tallied and posted to the web.
