HEALTH

Health - #34501 The purpose of this project is to help youth develop important life skills by
involving them in fun and challenging health-related, learning-by-doing experiences. The project includes: understanding self, interacting socially, making decisions, learning to learn, and mastering physical skills.  Friends and family relationships are examined and safety issues are addressed.  Health issues, such as smoking and alcohol, are discussed, combined with stress reduction exercises. Sports injuries and stretching exercises are addressed.  Social issues, dating, and relationships are all discussed. Depression and emotional issues are addressed, while organizational and conflict-resolution skills are developed.  Health issues, such as nutrition, skin cancer, and self-examination, are all covered.
