WOODWORKING

Woodworking - #41501 Members learn basic woodworking skills, proper safety procedures, cutting and drilling techniques and using other hand tools.  Painting and a career in wood science are also discussed.  Members may choose to make a toolbox, a birdhouse, a sawhorse, a whistle, or all of them.  Further advancement teaches a member to use power tools, measure angles, make dowel joints, hinges, and brackets.  A belt buckle, a bookshelf, and a boomerang are just a few of the projects where members can test their skills.  A toy car, a hockey table, and a step stool are advanced projects.
