ELIGIBILITY: Applicant may be a graduating high school senior or a continuing student attending the University of Wyoming. (Continuing means: transfer from a Wyoming Junior College or continuing students who have never received the scholarship before.)
Number of scholarships will vary and the amount will vary. Recipients are eligible to renew this scholarship for remaining 3 years at UW based on academic progress. Students need to renew through UW Financial Aid for subsequent years. SELECTION:“Scholarships to be awarded to worthy and deserving rural youth who have shown an interest in 4-H work, FFA, forestry work, or other similar lines of endeavor.” ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Each county may submit one or more applicants. For graduating senior and first-time applicants please use the “Wyoming
4-H Scholarship Application Form” available from the state 4-H office, or website (www.wyoming4h.org) and submit to the state 4-H office. For renewal of scholarship, please apply directly through UW Student Financial Aid office at: http://uwadmnweb.uwyo.edu/sfa/scholarship/0708/Schloredt%20Renewal%2007-08.pdf. For additional information, please review thoroughly the current “Student Financial Aid and Scholarships at Wyoming Colleges’ Bulletin.,” at http://uwadmnweb.uwyo.edu/sfa/scholarship/ The state 4-H office in cooperation with UW Student Financial Aid will make the selections for the Schloredt scholarship recipients from graduating seniors and first-time applicants only. All renewals will be handled through UW Student Financial Aid office UW Student Financial Aid will notify recipients. When you register, your scholarship money will automatically be credited to your account, this amount will be subtracted in the following order: tuition, fees, and housing – you will pay any remainder. SELECTION CRITERIA GUIDELINES: 40% on scholastic record (GPA, rank in class, ACT score)30% on 4-H work 15% on financial need15% on character and leadership
